Kyiv [Ukraine], December 5: Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi on Thursday rejected Russian claims of seizing the
strategically significant eastern Ukrainian town of Pokrovsk.
"Ukrainian units continue to hold the northern part of Pokrovsk," Syrskyi posted on Facebook.
He said that the Russian advance and circumvention of Pokrovsk and neighbouring Myrnohrad had been halted.
Syrskyi added that the organization of resupply lines, evacuation of the wounded and measures to counter Russian artillery and drones had been discussed at a meeting. (DPA)
