Bangkok [Thailand], January 16: The day after an accident in Thailand caused by a falling construction crane left over 30 people dead, a similar incident has reportedly killed two people near Bangkok.
Five people were also injured when a construction crane collapsed on Thursday onto a motorway in Samut Sakhon district, to the west of the Thai capital, the Bangkok Post newspaper reported.
Parts of the steel structure hit two cars, the newspaper cited police as saying. The crane was being used for the construction of a motorway bridge.
It is not clear what caused the latest accident.
About 230 kilometres north-east of Bangkok on Wednesday, a construction crane collapsed onto a fully occupied train, which then derailed and partially caught fire.
At least 32 people were killed and more than 60 others were injured, some of them seriously. The search for three missing people has been called off, local media reported on Thursday citing the emergency services.
