Doha [Qatar], February 18: The Shotokan Karate Ryu Dojo recently hosted a prestigious Kata Seminar and Kyu Grading event, marking another milestone in the journey of its dedicated martial artists. The event, characterized by high-intensity training and technical precision, brought together practitioners to showcase their progress under the guidance of esteemed masters. Technical Mastery and Seminar Highlights The technical seminar was conducted by Kyoshi Zaheer Shaikh, a globally recognized expert in karate and MMA. Participants were treated to an in-depth exploration of Kata (forms), focusing on the intricate balance of power, timing, and spirit that defines traditional Shotokan karate. In recognition of his exceptional contribution to the event and his masterful instruction, Kyoshi Mirza Gazanfar Ali Baig, the founder and chief instructor of Shotokan Karate Ryu, honoured Kyoshi Zaheer Shaikh with a certificate of appreciation. The event concluded with a formal Kyu grading, where several students demonstrated the required proficiency to advance in rank. The following practitioners were successfully promoted: 4th Kyu (blue Belt): Khansa Muhammad, Faiz Muhammad, and Talha Muhammad; 7th Kyu (Yellow Belt): Firdous Resham. Among the other notable participants who contributed to the high standard of the event were AbdulAziz Zaram, Shabana Riaz, and Qaisar Ahmad Khan.
