Abu Dhabi [UAE], January 18: Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, delivered the opening speech at the Ghana Business Forum, titled 'Ghana: Unlimited Opportunities.' The Ghana delegation was led by Nana AddoDankwaAkufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana.
The Ghana Business forum is being held in Abu Dhabi as part of the Ghana Business Week and will highlight the limitless opportunities in Ghana across strategic industries such as energy, mining, natural resources, agriculture, financial services, trade & manufacturing, environment, technology and real estate.
Sheikh Shakhboot stated: "The UAE and Ghana share a strong cultural and historic bond, which strengthened the cooperation and partnership in the areas of trade and investment, as well as the development of energy infrastructure, agriculture, schools, hospitals and water wells. The UAE remains committed to investing in Ghana and its talents, with over $3 billion currently invested in various sectors such as real estate, agriculture, and tourism."
The minister praised the deep bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Ghana, and called for exploring further prospects for cooperation between the two countries. He added: "We look forward to continuing our partnership and building an even brighter future for our peoples."
The Ghana Business Forum discusses strategies to enhance the UAE-Ghana commercial relations. The participating companies and entities will review opportunities and areas for work and investment.
