Hanoi [Vietnam], June 3: With the desire to bring Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) closer to the audience, People's Artist Que Tran invested in producing the project 'Art & Touch'. In this program, the daughter of People's Artist Thanh Tong combines Cai Luong with many modern music genres such as rap, EDM... to bring a 'new breeze' to this traditional art form.

After much preparation, People's Artist Que Tran announced the six-episode program "Art & Touch ." Besides musical performances, viewers will also see for the first time People's Artist Que Tran "struggling" to practice modern dance. She admitted that these movements are completely different from the choreography of Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera), so she couldn't get used to them right away. Simultaneously, viewers will witness the awkwardness of some young singers performing Vong Co (traditional Vietnamese folk singing) for the first time, with dedicated guidance from their seniors.
Sharing her thoughts on the program, People's Artist Que Tran said: "I have been nurturing this project for a very long time. Besides reviving many works by my father, the late People's Artist Thanh Tong , I have always wanted a fresher, more youthful project to reach younger audiences. I think there's nothing better than having young people participate in singing Cai Luong. They understand what young audiences are listening to and liking, and from there they can connect those things with Cai Luong or traditional music."
According to Que Tran, what makes her happiest is knowing that the young singers all share a love for Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) and always perform wholeheartedly in each act. In particular, when the female artist heard that Vo Ha Tram wanted to try singing a Cai Luong line, she felt very appreciative and happy. "I don't put pressure on the audience to fall in love with Cai Luong immediately. In the context of this project, if they learn a little more about Vong Co (traditional Vietnamese folk singing), understand a stage dance move... that's already happiness. I want to gently touch the audience's emotions, touch their memories, identity, and even their future," the daughter of People's Artist Thanh Tong confided.
Art & Touch brings together a cast of young singers to create fusions between traditional art and contemporary music. Accordingly, singer TIA brings a modern touch of trap music to the performance of " Touching the Five-Tone Scale ." Meanwhile, Quân Pino tries his hand at Southern-style folk songs, despite his family background in Northern Vietnamese traditional opera. In addition, the project also features young talents such as rapper Tieu Minh Phụng and TikToker Bin Yet.
