A notable highlight at the showcase was the announcement of the film's release date. Previously, there were rumors that the film would be released on the first day of the Lunar New Year, directly competing with works by Tran Thanh, Truong Giang, etc. However, at the event, the production team announced that Tai will be released on March 6, 2026.
The return of My Tam
According to My Tam, when the project "Tai" was announced, many viewers were looking forward to its release during the Lunar New Year. However, the singer affirmed that she and her team had no intention of releasing the film at that time. "I was only wondering whether we should release it a little earlier or right around March 8th. There are already many excellent Lunar New Year films, so why add another one? I think releasing it on March 6th is reasonable," My Tam expressed.

Speaking about her decision to return to acting after more than 7 years, My Tam shared that since the milestone film "My Assistant," she has made the documentary "The Keeper of Time" and currently " Tai ." The singer said that many people have asked her why she didn't continue acting. However, My Tam believes that she needs suitable roles and that everything depends on fate.

Speaking about her acting role in "Tai ," My Tam humorously said: "I asked for a role. Every time during pre-production, I asked for a little more dialogue, and Long Dep Trai (the handsome guy) would say it was probably 'a system'. Actually, I did act, but only in small roles, not much. If I were to share, there would be nothing left to share. But I'm really happy in the role of producer. From the beginning, I decided I wouldn't participate much in the film, just be a character to add some emotion to the movie. As for the producer role, I got to meet many people and work in a very lovely team environment."
During the working process, My Tam admitted that she and Mai Tai Phen inevitably had heated arguments. She confided: "Usually, I think that doing things a certain way would be better, but Mai Tai Phen would say that his intention was different. We couldn't find common ground, it was like, 'I think I'm saying this, but why don't people understand?'" According to the 8X singer, their solution was to reconsider their ideas and bring the issue up for everyone to see and get feedback from those around them. "Whichever direction is better, we'll follow that direction," she said.
