She also freely updates about her life after two years in Finland, attracting much attention from her fans. According to Mac Anh Thu, in the beginning, when she first moved to Finland, due to lack of experience and the fact that she arrived in winter, she couldn't avoid feeling "cold, lonely, and sad." This period was a challenge for her because: "Every day, my mother and I would hug each other and cry in our small, empty 36-square-meter house. "
Sharing more about that time, Mac Anh Thu recounted that the weather was cold and there were no beds at home. "Luckily, I had already bought two blankets and two pillows, so my mother and I spread them out to sleep on, adding a few thick jackets to cover ourselves. For three or four consecutive days, every morning when I woke up, it was a dark sky; all I wanted was to buy a ticket back to Vietnam immediately," she recalled.
From those experiences, Mac Anh Thu learned a lesson: when moving to a new place, you have to accept forgetting who you used to be. Comparing yourself to the past can easily lead to pressure, causing you to overspend and buy things you don't really need.
The beauty queen from the 80s generation further shared: "Most importantly, if you're not yet financially stable and want to save money without being wasteful, make an effort to consult international community groups to learn from their experiences. If you're hesitant to ask, just observe; there will always be people asking questions you want to know, and through that, you'll find the answers yourself."
Over time, Mac Anh Thu gradually adapted to life abroad. She shared that here, she enjoys walking for most activities such as going to school, going to the supermarket, or going for coffee with friends if conditions permit. Because, according to her, each step allows her to admire many different beautiful things in the surrounding environment.
"Speaking of walking, I once set a goal to walk at least 10,000 steps every day. I did that consistently last fall, but in the winter I hardly walked at all. So lately, when I started walking again, I kept encountering the word 'discipline' constantly," Mac Anh Thu shared. The 8X beauty also said that each time she overcame herself, "that feeling is amazing."
Earlier, in mid-June 2026, Mac Anh Thu shared the joyful news of receiving her bachelor's degree after 2.5 years of diligent study. She happily expressed: "I've just finished a journey, received my bachelor's degree. Now what do I do next, everyone? Thank you to my family for supporting me every step of the way.
